Pulled from Age of Autism and the Australian Vaccine Network. Pass it along and email the Health Care Complaints Commission on behalf of AVN for all their hardworking and the right to refuse vaccines and practice a natural healthy lifestyle. ~ CFC

Health Fascism in Australia.

The AVN is very grateful to Martin Walker for his excellent insight into the forces that oppose the AVN. He is uniquely qualified to write this piece, having researched the origin of the ‘skeptic’ movement from its birth in the US 2 decades ago. If you like this piece, please visit the original post at the Age of Autism and leave a comment.

The sinister Skeptics group, agents of what used to be CSICOP now the  Committee for Skeptical Inquiry (CSI) organised from the US and linked to the major corporate lobby groups, American Council on Science and Health (ACSH) and American Council Against Health Fraud (ACAHF), which is in turn linked to the Australian CAHF) are making ground in Australia. Supported by authoritarian ideological influences in government and Big Pharma, the Skeptics are running constant attacks on homeopathy, natural cancer treatments, those who question vaccination and those who support any form of alternative medicine.

Kathleen Sebelius: “Autism Now

Hits 1 In 100 Children, We Have No

Idea Why”

David Kirby

Posted: October 4, 2009 06:05 PM on The Huffington Post

Washington loves to dump its bad news on a Friday afternoon, and on October 2 it confirmed that 1 percent of American children (and by extension, perhaps 1-in-58 boys) has an autism spectrum disorder.

On a hastily arranged telephone “visit” with US Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius and the autism community, the health chief announced that “the prevalence of autism might be even higher than previously thought.” But, she added, “We don’t know if it has gone up, and we are hoping to unlock these mysteries.”

The Secretary then declared autism “An urgent public health challenge,” proclaimed that President Obama was “right to make it one of our top health priorities,” including research into “treatments and a cure” for the disorder, and then promptly ended her visit.

Helping to fill in some of the details was Dr. Thomas R. Insel, Director of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), and Chair of the Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee, who confirmed that CDC data to be published later this year will estimate the current childhood ASD rate at 100-per-10,000 children. Mingo mother fights to get daughter in school without shots

A Mingo County mother says her child has a right to a free education in a public elementary school — and a right not to be immunized against disease.
Staff writer

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – A Mingo County mother says her child has a right to a free education in a public elementary school — and a right not to be immunized against disease.

Now, parties on both sides of a federal court case are debating medical, religious and philosophical exemptions to immunization against the effects on the health of all schoolchildren.

Jennifer Workman, the mother of a 6-year-old girl, sued last month in U.S. District Court in Charleston so her daughter could attend Lenore Pre-K to 8 School in Mingo County.

The girl has not been immunized, and Workman claimed a medical exemption.

West Virginia and Mississippi are two states that allow only a medical exemption to immunization. Unlike most states, West Virginia does not allow religious or philosophical exemptions.

Merck Makes Phony Peer-Review Journal

It’s a safe guess that somewhere at Merck today someone is going through the meeting minutes of the day that the hair-brained scheme for the “Australasian Journal of Bone and Joint Medicine” was launched, and that everyone who was in the room is now going to be fired. The Scientisthas reported that, yes, it’s true, Merck cooked up a phony, but real sounding, peer reviewed journal and published favorably looking data for its products in them.

Merck paid Elsevier to publish such a tome, which neither appears in MEDLINE or has a website, according to The Scientist. What’s wrong with this is so obvious it doesn’t have to be argued for. What’s sad is that I’m sure many a primary care physician was given literature from Merck that said, “As published in Australasian Journal of Bone and Joint Medicine, Fosamax outperforms all other medications….” Said doctor, or even the average researcher wouldn’t know that the journal is bogus.

Mercury, Autism and the Global Vaccine Agenda

In Educate before you Vaccinate, Vaccine Awareness on April 10, 2009 at 7:09 pm

I have been meaning to put his video with Dr. David Ayoub. It leans a little towards the conspiracy theorist in all of us.. But I feel the info on the ingredients in vaccines, specifically thimersol (mercury) is invaluable.
